What's In My Cart?

It’s Friday! That means the pre-kend is here and so is another round of What’s In My Cart? We’ve got items big and small this week - see below each specific item that’s in my online shopping cart and why it’s there!

I’ve shared this item briefly on Instagram before but it’s been a while - I’ve been drooling over this ruffled marble bowl for what seems like ages. I have officially taken the next step and added it to my cart - the shape and textures are just too good to pass up!

This adorable glass cloche for matches would be so pretty alongside a nice candle and maybe a brass candle snuffer. So much more homey and visually appealing than a zippo or bulky lighter.

I love the antique look to these wicker spoons, they’d go great in my kitchen. They look like they belong in an old historic farmhouse without being too cheesy or farmhouse decor-y if that makes sense?

This rug is lingering in my cart. It’s a great neutral rug with that perfectly worn-in look. These types of rugs are great around pets and kids because the faded pattern conceals spills or stains so well.

The suede on this vegan leather clutch looks so soft and just like real suede! Would be a perfect bag to dress up an outfit for a night out.

What's In My Cart?

Whether it’s Amazon, Target, Etsy, you name it, there’s pretty much always something lingering in my online shopping cart. Sometimes its as simple as cleaning supplies or shampoo, other times it’s bigger purchases I’m pondering like this faux eucalyptus tree for my entry. So, I thought I’d start sharing what’s ready to roll in my shopping cart. Here we go!

The perfect crewneck does exist! (Yes - a man is modeling it, but it’s unisex. Making it that much easier to buy it “for your significant other” and just end up wearing it everyday yourself…) Super soft, pretty neutral color, recycled cotton. What’s not to love! I’d pair it with matching sweats or layer it over a favorite tee while its still chilly outside.

I’m loving all of the burl wood pieces coming out recently. The natural variations in the wood are so pretty and unique. I’ve been eyeing this mirror from Target and think it could be a great addition to my entry - or anywhere really!

Finding real-looking, not cheesy faux plants is a struggle. I’ve been scouring the internet for a good deal on a new tree for our dining room and this guy caught my eye. This artificial eucalyptus tree by Studio McGee has some nice height and volume to it and comes in a cute ceramic pot!

You probably already know this by now, but you will pretty much always find me in a pair of white kicks. It’s just too dang easy to pair them with whatever you’re wearing - jeans, sweats, a sundress, you name it. But I figured I should switch it up a bit. How fun are these blacked-out Converse?! I think they’d be a great way to freshen up outfits and since they’re black they still go with everything.

You can never have too much gold jewelry and this baby is (currently) on sale! The signet style makes it feel a little vintage and I can definitely see myself putting this on and never taking it off.

What's In My Purse?

There’s something fun about getting a glimpse inside someone’s bag or purse that I love. It’s like getting a little peek at a day in their life, but also learning their must-have items that I could fall in love with too. What better way to find some new favorite lip balms or hand lotions that you know people already swear by?

So I thought it would be fun to share what’s in my purse. First off, my bag of choice is a backpack purse. Convenient, versatile, and basically a diaper bag in disguise. It’s big enough to hold everything you could possibly need and makes it easy to push a shopping cart or carry other necessities while it’s on your back. I’ll admit my bag was a bit of a splurge, but it was the first bag I really invested in after having nothing but diaper bags while the kids were little. It was my time to have a nice bag, so a black leather AllSaints backpack it was. We all know leather can last a lifetime if taken care of, and black goes with everything, so I knew I’d get years of use out of it.

Now, the fun part. What’s in my purse?

I won’t bother you with every single detail but I figured I should explain a few of my must-haves. You can thank my kids for the crayons and wet wipes…you never know when some crayons at a restaurant or face wipes after sticky food could save you from a meltdown. The sunglasses I have are Quay brand which I love. They’re stylish and quality while still being affordable. The nail polish may seem funny but you’d be surprised how many times I’ve touched up my nails in the car before going out to dinner or meeting with a client. Another favorite is my Dior Addict Lip Glow. It’s the perfect natural shade and feels so luxurious going on. These are a few of the items I simply can’t leave the house without. What’s in your bag?
